AN ORDINANCE AMENDING KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE 17.12.040
CONDITIONAL USES OF THE NU-- NATURAL USE ZONING DISTRICT
TO ADD PARKS, INCLUDING RELATED EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND
STRUCTURES, AS CONDITIONAL USES IN THIS ZONING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Parks and Recreation Committee has been
discussing park "dedication /designation" mechanisms for about a year;
and
WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended that the NU-- Natural Use Zoning
District be amended to permit parks and related equipment, facilities and
structures as conditional uses in this zoning district; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has forwarded this recommended
code revision to the Assembly for consideration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:

This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a

Section 2: Section 17.12.040 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code is hereby
amended as follows:

D. Road and utility installations.
