AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DUTIES OF THE BOROUGH CLERK
TO REOUIRE ATTESTATION OF THE MAYOR'S SIGNATURE ON ALL CONTRACTS
TO WHICH THE BOROUGH IS A PARTY
BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the Kodiak
Island Borough, Alaska, that:
Section 1. This ordinance is of a general and permanent
nature and shall be codified.
Section 2. Section 2.21.020 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended by inserting the new language to read:
2.21.020 Duties. . .

E. Attest deeds, the Mayor's signature on all contracts
to which the Borouah is a party, and other documents as needed.
For purposes of this section, "contract" shall mean any contract,
agreement, memorandum of understanding, or letter of intent, which
sets out the rights, duties, and obligations of the parties
thereto.

G. Perform other duties as specified in other sections
of this code and Alaska State Statute Title 29 or as prescribed by
the [MAYOR OR] assembly.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately
upon its adoption by the borough assembly.
