PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ON BOATS AND VESSELS /\\
BE IT ORDAINED by the Assembly of the Kodiak Island Borough
that: 0-
Section 1. This ordinance is of a general and permanent
nature and shall become a part of the Code of Ordinances.
Section 2. Section 3.24.050 is hereby amended to read:
3.24.050 Classification of boats and vessels. u sliant to AS
29.53.O25(b)(1), boats and vessels are classified for purposes of
taxation as a special category, and shall be taxed at the rate of ten
dollars per ton (FIFTEEN DOLLARS) a year for a bo t or vessels of more
than five net tons, rather than on an ad valorem higis.
Section 3. This ordinance takes effect on July 1, 1987.
