AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING
CHAPTER 2.16.130, ORDER OF BUSINESS -- AGENDA
BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that:
Section 1. This ordinance is of a permanent nature and shall become
a part of the Code of Ordinances.
Section 2. Section 2.16.130 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances is hereby repealed and reenacted to read:
2.16.130 Order of business -- Agenda. A. The order of business for each
!regular meeting of the assembly shall be as follows:
1. Invocation
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Roll Call
4. Approval of Agenda
5. Consent Agenda
a. Resolutions
b. Ordinances for Introduction
c. Bid Awards
d. Communications to the Assembly
e. Approval of minutes
6. Citizens' Comments
a. Agenda items not scheduled for public hearing
b. Items other than those appearing on the agenda
7. Committee Reports
8. Public Hearing
9. Messages from the Borough Mayor
10. Old Business
11. New Business
12. Citizens' Comments
13. Assemblymen's Comments
14. Adjournment
B. Consent agenda items are items considered to be routine and
noncontroversial by the assembly and will be approved by one motion. There
shall be no separate discussion of these items unless an assemblymember so
requests, in which case the item will be removed from the consent agenda and
considered in its normal sequence on the agenda as part of the general orders.
C. The borough clerk shall prepare an agenda for each regular meeting
after consulting with the mayor and presiding officer. The agenda shall be
distributed to assemblymembers, along with the meeting packet, one week prior
to the regular meeting. Agendas will be available for the public not less
than twenty -four hours prior to the meeting and no further items shall be added
to the agenda except by unanimous consent.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect on the day following
adoption.
