AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR NEGOTIATED LEASES OF BOROUGH OWNED REAL
PROPERTY.

! SECTION 1: Section 18.60.030 is adopted as follows:
18.60.030 Negotiated Leases. The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly may
approve by resolution the issuance of a negotiated lease for period not to
exceed five (5) years if the Assembly determines that negotiation other than
competitive bid would promote competition in supply of materials of which there
I lis a public nded, or otherwise promote the public health safety or welfare.
The AssemblyJiay utilize a lottery to determine the party with which it will
enter into a negotiated lease of particular parcels.
