WHEREAS, Alaska Statutes 29,33.090 empowers the : •rough to enact
Zoning Ordinance and provide for its administration, e •rcement and
mendments, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has p rsuant thereto adopted
Title 17, of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutio which provides for
planning and zoning provisions and procedur- and
WHEREAS, according to the Compr ensive Planning and Zoning Map
adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, •t Blocks 45 and 51, East Subdivi-
sion, Lots 5 through 15, Block 1, All •f Block 2 and Lots 1, 2, 18 and 19,
Block 3, Leite Addition has been z. ed R -1, and
WHEREAS, a petition has •een received from Asa Beehler request-
ing the same be rezoned from -1 to R -2 to allow for future development,
WHEREAS, the Pet' on was considered and approved by the Planning
and Zoning Commission • the 16th day of November, 1976; it have been
determined that the p •lic necessity, convenience and good zoning practice
require such class, ation,
NOW, T ' EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Borough Assembly of
the Kodiak Isl- d Borough that the property described as:
Bloc 45 and 51, East Subdivision, Lots 5 through 15, Block 1,
all f Block and Lots 1, 2, 18 and 19 Block 3, Leite Addition
Be and t same are hereby reclassified as R -2 and that notice of this
ordina e be given by publication in the KODIAK MIRROR, seven (7) days
pri• to the second reading and that a public hearing be held thereon on
date of the second reading and that this Ordinance become effective
at the time of adoption
