AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
ADOPTING THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 1968 -1999,
PART I GENERAL PLAN AND PART II KODIAK URBAN AREA TRANSPORTATION
AND UTILITIES PLAN
BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the Kodiak
Island Borough as follows:
Section 1. Establishment. The official Plan for the
Kodiak Island Borough shall consist of the following:
(A) The Kodiak Island Borough'Comprehensive Plan
1968 -1999 Part One: General Plan prepared by Tryck, Nyman &
Hayes, Anchorage, Alaska.
(B) The Kodiak Island Borough Comprehensive Plan
11968 -1999 Part Two: Kodiak Urban Area Transportation and
(Utilities Plan prepared by Tryck, Nyman & Hayes, Anchorage,
Alaska.
Any reference to the official plan of the Kodiak
Island Borough shall be taken to mean and include the plans
referred to in Paragraphs (A) and (B) herein.
Section 2. Compliance. No land -use plan dealing
with commercial development, industrial development or residential
development; no transportation plan dealing with roads, streets,
street grids, traffic data, estimated traffic, street widths,
costs, airport use; and no plan concerning community facilities
such as educational facilities, community buildings, parks and
.recreation facilities, marine facilities, sanitary fill, junk
yard, water systems, water supply distribution, sanitary sewers,
storm sewers, or any regional facilities such as roads, education,
medical facilities, recreation or development of outlying
settlements, shall be approved unless the same complies with the

requirements of Parts One and Two of the Comprehensive Plan
hereby adopted, unless the same has been modified to meet the
proposal not so complying.
