1972-08 Repealing and Reenacting KIBC Sections Pertaining to Uniform Building CodeKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH

AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
REPEALING AND RE- ENACTING SECTIONS 1, 2 and 3 OF CHAPTER 5,
SUBCHAPTER 5 OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES
AND RESOLUPIONS WHICH PERTAIN TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,
UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, MECHANICAL CODE AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL
CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that Sections 1, 2 and 3 of Chapter 5, Subchapter 5 of the
Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances and Resolutions be
and the same are hereby repealed and re- enacted and Section 3A
is hereby added, which sectionm shall read as follows:
"Section 1. ELECTRICAL CODE:
A. The rules and regulations of the National Board of Fire
Underwriters, as contained in the b the American National
Electrical Code, 1971, and as approved Y
Association, are hereby adopted for the installation, alteration
and use of electrical equipment in the Borough.
B. The rules and regulations regarding the installation,
alteration and use of electrical equipment asead Kodiak area °optted by t of the

be limited to the area served by the Kodiak Electric Association,
Inc., a copy of said Code and last mentioned rules and regulations,
known as

Section 2. PLUMBING COLE: The riles and regulations as
contained in the Code known as the Uniform Plumbing Code (U.P.C. 1970)
as published by the International Conference of Building Officials,
