AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 SECTION 7.1 OF THE
DDIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY
EPEALING AND RE- ENACTING THE SAME TO PROVIDE EXEMPTIONS FROM
AXES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS EAPNING LESS THAN A STATED AMOUNT OF
NCOME PER YEAR.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly

for at any time during the year by each qualified citizen, but
not later than August 1st of the current tax year. Each applicatic
shall be presented to the Borough Assembly for approval and must
receive an affirmative vote from all of the Assembly members
present before the exemption is granted. Any citizen whose properl
is listed on the foreclosure list at the time this ordinance
becomes effective and who would be qualified for exemption under
the terms hereof as to age, income and residency at the time the
taxes became due, shall be 'included, provided that the application
and documentation is presented for consideration to the Assembly
within sixty (60) days after this ordinance becomes effective.
