KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 69dm0 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER SIX OF THE BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING SECTIONS 3.2 A, PROVIDE FOR DISPOSAL OF TAX FORECLOSED LANDS. and C THERETO TO BE IT ORDAINED: Chanter Six (6) of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding Sections 3.2 A, 3, and C thereto, which shall read as follows: "Section 3.2 A" The Record owner at the time of tax foreclosure of any propert y.acquired by the Borough for delinquent taxes, or his successors and assigns, may, at any time before the Sale or Contract of Sale of the tax foreclosed property, repurchas, the property. The the pro Borough shall sell th property p Y to the former record owner or his successor or assigns, for the full amount applicable to the property under the Judgement of F with interest at the rate of eight (8%) Foreclosure, per cent per year from the date of entry of Judgement of Foreclosure to the date of repur- chase, together with delinquent taxes assessed and levied as thouahj it had continued in private ownership. "Section 3.2 B" Property resold to the record owner, his successors or assigns under this section is subject to all lien and claims arising out of an assessment for a local improvement levied against the property, or part of it, by a municipal corpora- tion and is subject to the title or equity of the governmental unit predicated on or growing out of the lien or assessment. "Section 3.2 C" Tax foreclosed property may be sold by the Borough in the manner provided in this chapter for the sale of other lands owned by the Borough with the exception that prior to the sale of tax foreclosed properties, notice of the in- tended sale shall be given by registered or certified mail to the record owner at the time of tax foreclosure. Notice shall be 9 • given a reasonable time before a Sale or Contract of Sale is made 1 and shall advise the record owner of his right of repurchase authorized by Section 3.2.A hereof. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption.
