AN ORDINANCE REZONING /PRIBILOF POINT, WAKEFIELD FISH-
ERIES, FROM CONSERVATION TO R -1.
WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowers the Borough to enact
zoning ordinance and provide for its administration, enforcement
and amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto]
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions, which
provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive planning and
zoning map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, Pribilof Point,
Wakefield Fisheries, has been classified as a conservation zone,
and,
WHEREAS, a petition

which the petitioner

petitioner obtained the land from that department and which has
also been submitted to and approved to the City of Port Lions and
submitted as a revision to Tryck, Nyman and Hayes proposal for re-
zoning and approved by the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and
Zoning Commission and a public hearing held thereon on October 29,
1969, and the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended the

the owners of U.S. Survey No. 2005
adjacent thereto to the South and
of Port Wakefield, Drawing No.
reclassification as this property is best suited for residential
use, and thgre were no objections voiced at the public hearing t
the reclassification, and it having been determined that the public
necessity, convenience, and good zoning practice required such re-
classification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
of the Kodiak Island Borough that the property shown in orange on
the land use map of Port Wakefield, Drawing No. WFF670431B6 pre-
pared by Barr Zy. Associates, Consulting Engineers, and Air Photo
Tech, Inc., described as follows:
Beginning at meander corner #1 of U.S. Survey #2005
as approved November 7, 1932;
Thence along the line of mean high water Southwesterly
approximately 1,653.86 feet to a point South 49° 09 East a distanc
of 39.90 feet from witness corner "B" as shown on Alaska Tideland
Survey #664;
Thence North 49° 09? West a distance of 444.56 feet to
the line of mean high water;
Thence along the line of mean high water Northeasterly
approximately 1,059.21 feet to the center line of the Wakefield C
Causeway;

to a point of curvature;

now classified as conservation be and the same is hereby reclassi-
fied as R -1 and that notice of this ordinance be given by publica-
tion in the Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to the second

reading and that a public hearing be held thereon on the date of
the said seco`hd reading and this ordinance become effective at the
expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
First Reading and Approval Date: November 20, 1969.
Second Reading, Public Hearing and Passage Date: December 4, 1969.
Effective Date: January 4, 1970.
