DEFINING INSTALLATION COSTS AND ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR
WATER SERVICES AND REPEALING SECTION 4 THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that Ordinance No. 68 -24 -0 be and the same is hereby amended by
repealing and re- enacting Section 4 thereof and adding Section 5
as follows:

Section 4 is hereby repealed and re- enacted to read
Section 4. Rates and Charges:
A. The monthly rate for water service to users in the
District shall be $ 11.25 payable monthly through
the Borough Office to the Kodiak Island Borough Water
District unless billed direct by the City of Kodiak]
for such service.
B. In addition to the monthly rate, each user shall be
billed one - twelfth of his pro -rata share of the cost
of any charges for temporary service, repairs,
maintenance, administration and collection.
C. Cost of individual hook -ups from property line to
residence shall be borne by the individual applying
for such service and payable prior to service.
D. Installation of a new system as defined herein shall
be charged on an assessment basis as provided by
law for local assessments for property specially
benefited.
Section 5. Definitions:
A. The term install or installation when referred to in
this Ordinance shall be limited to its technical
meaning and refers to the whole of a system of water
pipes or pipeline, set up and arrange or working
and shall not be interpreted to refer to temporary
service, individual hook -ups or repairs.
