09/12/2002 SMA special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was
held September 12, 2002 in the Conference Room of the Kodiak
Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay Road. The meeting was
called to order at 9:10 p.m.

Manager Carlson said Brechan Enterprises had excess seal
coating material and made a rare proposal to seal coat 3.1
miles of road in the Womens Bay Road Service Area for
$20,500. This would be a two -coat application to
approximately 405,000 square feet of road.
Dave Conrad, Womens Bay Service Area Board chair, urged the
Assembly to take advantage of this great offer. He said the
discounted cost was five cents per square foot as opposed to
the normal cost of seventeen cents per square foot of
sealant.
