Special Assembly Meeting
January 3, 2004
A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was held January 3,
2004 in the Kodiak Island Fisheries Research Center Conference Room at 301
Research Court. The meeting was called to order at 9:10 a.m.
Present were Mayor Gabrielle LeDoux, Assemblymembers P we Br son, Robin
Heinrichs, Cecil Ranney, and Nancy Wells. Staff p e
Carlson, Clerk Judi Nielsen, Deputy Clerk Nova Javier, and Assistant Clerk
Laura Casey.
BRANSON moved to excuse Assemblymembers Tom Abell, Tuck Bonney, and Wayne
Stevens, seconded by HEINRICHS
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING
A. Resolution No. 2004 -01 Supporting the Kodiak Area Coordinated Transit
System (KATS).
HEINRICHS moved to adopt Resolution No. 2004 -01, seconded by BRANSON
Assemblymember Branson said this resolution was for continued support of the
Kodiak Area Transit System as a state recognized coordinated transit system
for our community.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY: Branson, Heinrichs, Ranney,
Wells
B. Contract No. 2004 -01 Community Pool Business Plan.
$45,000 H with EC /Hyer t t o create a KIB Aquatic e Center Business t to auhrize the Plan, seconded
by BRANSON

Manager Carlson provided an overview of the Fiscal Year 2005 Budget.
