03/14/2000 SMA special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly was held March 14, 2000 in the Conference
Room of the Kodiak Island Borough Building,
710 Mill Bay Road. The meeting was called to order
at 7:30 p.m.

Assemblymember Abell was unable to attend and asked
to be excused.

seconded by BRANSON Assemblymember Abell.
MOTION CARRIED Unanimous voice vote
Manager Jensen interviewed five individuals and
wanted to offer the position to Mr. John Danielsen.

Mr. Danielsen requested a starting salary of $71,000
and two weeks of annual leave. Manager Jensen wanted
the authority of hire up to Step H as a negotiation
tool in the process.
After discussion, the Assembly asked Manager Jensen
to offer the position at Step G with an increase to
Step H in six months after a favorable evaluation.
Manager Jensen noted that moving expenses were
approved under the Personnel Rules and Regulations.
