RESOLUTION NO. 95 -07C AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 95 -07
ESTABLISHING FEES OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
TO REFLECT AMENDED LANDFILL METALS DISPOSAL RATES
WHEREAS, prudent financial management dictates that an organization will review
its fees; and
WHEREAS, staff has compiled a list of all current fees; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 95 -07 Establishing Fees of the Kodiak Island Borough for
Fiscal Year 1996 was adopted on May 18, 1995; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends changes to the fiscal year 1996 fee schedule adopted
by Resolution No. 95 -07;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: The amended exhibit of fees shall become effective upon adoption.

SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL RATES
A. Solid waste disposal fees at the landfill site:
1. Bagged residential garbage from a passenger automobile, pickup truck or a less than one cubic yard
trailer No charge
2. Construction and commercial debris discharged from a covered truck or trailer, passenger automobile,
or pickup truck $45.00 per ton
3. Garbage truck of borough collection contractor per contract
United States Coast Guard contractor $95.00 per ton
4. Asbestos disposal
Small Quantities:
Per cubic yard increment in final disposal package $90.00 per c.y.
Large Quantities:
10 c.y. Dump Truck or greater $900.00 plus $80.00 for each c.y. over 10 c.y.
plus any cost of utilizing borough personnel for unloading van and placing bags in disposal area
5. Lead acid batteries
Residential No charge
Commercial $6.00 per large battery
$3.00 per small battery
6. Sludge disposal $24.00 per ton
7. House trailers $8.00 per linear foot of trailer's longest dimension

Nine and nine tenths (9.9) pounds and under $20.00

Hospital only $20.00 plus 150 per pound over ten pounds
11. Use of scale to obtain a certified weight $10.00 per certified ticket
12. Vacancy rate $5.00 /month
B. Solid waste collection fees shall be: (collection & landfill fees)
1. Residential collection service (per month, inside city) $14.00 + $10.00
2. Residential collection service (per month, outside city) $12.00 + $9.50
3. Residential carry out service $10.00 + $7.50 in addition to the charge for regular
residential service
4 Senior citizen residential rates are 75% of those listed above.
5. Commercial and residential dumpster service.
