RESOLUTION NO. 83 -146 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AWARDING THE FIRE
TRUCKS FOR BELLS FLATS- RUSSIAN CREEK AND FIRE PROTECTION NO. 1 SERVICE AREAS.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly did pass an October 6,
1983 Resolution No. 83 -119 -R instructing staff to advertise for purchase of
two additional tanker fire trucks for Bells Flats- Russian Creek and Fire
Protection No. 1 service areas, and
WHEREAS, the documents were properly prepared and advertised according
for the purchase of two additional fire trucks, and
WHEREAS, invitations for proposals were opened on December 12, 1983
(2) 3,500 gallons tanker trucks, and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible proposal has been determined.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the contract for two tanker trucks and equipment be awarded to Western
State Fire Apparatus, Inc. of Cornelius, Oregon for one hundred ninety -nine
thousand two hundred and fourteen dollars ($199,214.00) and that the Borough
be instructed to process the necessary paperwork.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of December , 1983 by
the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
