A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AWARDING THE
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 SEWER AND WATER
IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 82 -3
WHEREAS, Invitations for Bids for Service District No. 1 Sewer
and Water Improvements, Project No. 82 -3 were published on October 20 and 27,
1983 and November 3, 1983 as required by Kodiak Island Borough Code
Section 3.16.040A, and
WHEREAS, the published bid opening date was postponed for two
days due to weather, and
WHEREAS, the bids were publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,
December 2, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the low three bidders were as follows:
Hollander Construction Co., Inc. $783,463
Keystone Associates, Inc. 884,075
Felton Construction Co. 922,170
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer and the Service District No. 1
Advisory Board recommend that the contract be awarded to Hollander
Construction Co., Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the contract for Service District No. 1, Sewer and Water Improvements be
awarded to Hollander Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $783,463.00.
