A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AUTHORIZING BOROUGH ADMINISTRATION OF THE MUNICIPAL GRANT
AWARDED TO AKHIOK TO FUND A FIREHALL AND FIREFIGHTING
EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 162 was passed by the Alaska State Legisla-
ture and signed by the Governor in April; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 162 allocates $50,000 to the City of Akhiok to
fund a firehall and firefighting equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Akhiok does not have a lot of experience
with bidding and contracting procedures for large - scale equipment acquisition;
and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has the organizational struc-
ture and the technical expertise to administer municipal grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly authorizes the Kodiak Island Borough Manager to
administer the municipal grant awarded to Akhiok to fund a firehall and
firefighting equipment.
