A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING THE
RESOLUTIONS AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF ENTITLEMENT FUNDS UNDER THE
MUNICIPAL AID PROGRAM, CHAPTER 60, SLA 81 AND AS 37.05.315.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has been appropriated funds for
an entitlement per person residing within the Borough boundaries, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough did adopt Resolution No. 81 -48 -R
and Resolution No. 82 -57 -R designating $530,300 for the Bayside Fire Station
and related equipment and $530,300 for the Women's Bay Fire Station and
related equipment, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough did adopt Resolution No. 83 -100 -R
authorizing receipt and expenditure of a Rural Development Assistance grant
in the amount of $200,000 for the purchase of two fire truck tankers, and
WHEREAS, after receiving public input the Assembly has determined
that each fire station should have two fire trucks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly hereby instructs staff to advertise for the purchase of two additional
3,000 gallon pumper /tanker trucks.
