A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY CALLING
FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN THE KODIAK ISL \ND
BOROUGH WATER SERVICE AREA NUMBER ONE ON January 14, 1969
BE IT RESOLVED by the Assembly of the Kodiak Island Borough, State
of Alaska, that:
Section 1. A special borough election is called to be held on
January 14. 1969 between the hours of 8:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m. of said date and that there be submitted to the dily qualified
voters of Kodiak Island Borough Water Service Area Number One the following
proposition:
"Shall Kodiak Island Borough Water Service Area Number One
provide for water and construct, operate and maintain a
water distribution system?

No

Section 2. The election shall be in accordance with the laws of
the State of Alaska and Chapter Four of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances and Resolutions.
Section 3. A person who is a qualified voter in Alaska and the
Kodiak Island Borough and is a resident of the Kodiak Island Borough Water
Service Area Number One described as follows:
U.S. Survey 3466, 3104, 3103, 3464, 3219, 3465, Shahafka
Acres Subdivision; Holland Acres Subdivision, (both platted and
unplatted portions); The East one -half of Tract B and all
of Tract C, D, E, G, H, I, J, K, M, and P of U.S. Survey NO.
3218 lying Northwest of Mill Bay and Island Lake Roads.
may vote in the election.
Section 4. For purposes of this election the service area shall
constitute one precinct and the polling place shall be located at

Section 5. Notice of the election shall be published not less than
30 days prior to the election in the form and manner provided by AS 07.30.030
and Chapter 4 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances and Resolutions.
