A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY CALLING
FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN 'THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1 ON January 14, 1969
BE IT RESOLVED by the Assembly of the Kodiak Island Borough, State
of Alaska, that:
Section 1. A special borough election is called to be held on
January 14, 1969 between the hours of 8:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m. of said date and that there be submitted to the duly qualified
voters of Kodiak Island Borough Fire Protection District No One the
following proposition:
"Shall the Kodiak Island Borough Fire Protection District
Number One provide for fire protection?
Yes /7
No /7
Section 2. The election shall be in accordance with the laws of
the State of Alaska and Chapter Four of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances and Resolutions.
Section 3. A person who is a qualified voter in Alaska and the
Kodiak Island Borough and is a resident of the Kodiak Island Borough Fire
Protection District Narber One described as follows:
A parcel of land within the Kodiak Island Borough consisting of
all of U.S. Surveys No. 3066 A and B, 2739, 3099, 3233, 3100,
3101, 1682, 3463, 3464, 3219, 3465, 3462, 3468, 3467, 1678, 3466,
3104, 3103, 3512, 2538 A; Portions of U.S. Surveys No. 1822, 3511,
2843, 3469, 3218, 3098 and all of Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Meander Corner 6 of U.S. Survey No. 2873, identical
with Meaiter Corner 1 of U.S. Survey No. 3066 A & B; thence (1)
South 32° 24' East 1162.00 feet along the existing City Limits;

and proposed Ordinance Number 313, containing 2,310 acres more or
less
may vote in the election.
Section 4. For purposes of this election the service area shall
constitute one precinct and the polling place shall be located at
East Elementary School. Kodiak. Alaska •
Section 5. Notice of the election shall be published not less
than 30 days prior to the election in the form and manner provided by
AS 07.30.030 and Chapter 4 of the Kodiak Island Borough Cade of Ordinances
and Resolutions.
