RESOLUTION NUMBER 68 - -
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH PURSUANT TO CHAPTER FIVE (5), SUBCHAPTER FOUR
( SECTION SIX (6) OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, Chapter Five (5), Subchapter Four (4), Section
Six (6) of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances and
Resolutions provides that a final plat shall be approved by the
Borough Assembly by resolution, which resolution shall provide
for the acceptance of all streets, alleys, easements, or other
open spaces dedicated to public purposes, and
WHEREAS, Wakefield Fisheries has presented for approval
its final plat, consisting of four (4) sheets, designated WFF-
66 021089 - Vicinity Map - Port Wakefield; WFF660211B2 - Port Lions
Townsite 2; WFF 66021282 - Land Exchange Plat 3; and W£F -
Land Exchange Plat 4, which is a plat representing an exchange of
land between Wakefield Fisheries and the Alaska Division of Lands
under the Earthquake Land Exchange Program of the state, and
involves land shown thereon in exchange for a tract of uplands and
tidelands held by Wakefield Fisheries at Apex Point (Old Port
Wakefield) on Raspberry Island and dedication of the area shown
on the plats for park purposes, and
WHEREAS, the contents of this plat and land exchange were
/negotiated with and have received approval of the Alaska Division
of Lands and the City of Port Lions as referred to in letter ADL
of June 3, 1968, and proposed land use plan for Port Lions
(CPL68052980) approved and submitted to the Borough by the Port
Lions City Council, and the above described show a dedication by
the owner of all easements for public utilities, roadways and
alleys and other public places as shown thereon for public use, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the _ u„a;so
Island Borough approved said plat on July 10, 1968.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly grant its approval to the final plat presented
by Wakefield Fisheries, consisting of four pages entitled
WFF660210B9 - Vicinity Map - Port Wakefield; WFF66021182 - Port
Lions Townsite 2; WFF 66021282 - Land Exchange Plat 3; and WFF-
66021383 - Land Exchange Plat 4, and that the Kodiak Island
Borough accept all streets, alleys, easements and other open
spaces dedicated to public purposes as set forth in said plat.
PASSED AND APPROVED this first day of August, 1968.
