A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH VACATING A PORTION OF A PLAT KNOWN AND DESCRIBED AS
MONASHKA BAY ALASKA SUBDIVISION, AND IN PARTICULAR LOTS SEVEN (7)
AND EIGHT (8) OF BLOCK ONE (1) THEREOF AND APPROVING A REPEAT OF
A PORTION THEREOF KNOWN AND DESCRIBED AS REPEAT LOTS SEVEN (7) AND
EIGHT (8), BLOCK ONE (1), MONASHKA BAY ALASKA SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of
Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8), Block One (1), Monashka Bay Alaska
Subdivision and heretofore and on the 10th day of April, 1968,
petitioned for a vacation of a portion of Monashka Bay Alaska
Subdivision and a replat of the same in order to provide a contin-
uation of Bay View Drive through the Monashka Bay Subdivision to
the Westerly boundary thereof which is bounded by U.S. Survey
No. 1678 and
WHEREAS, all persons interested were notified that
I a public hearing would be held on said petition on Wednesday, the
1 26th day of June, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. before the Kodiak
Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission which public hearing
was duly noticed and held, a copy of the Affidavit of Publication
having been filed herein and at which hearing the Planning and
Zoning Commission recommended that the original plat of Monashka
Bay Subdivision and in particular thereof, Lots Seven (7) and
Eight (8) Block One (1) thereof be vacated and that the replat
entitled Replat of Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8), Block One (1)
Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision be approved in order to provide a
continuation of Bay View Drive through the Monashka Bay Alaska
Subdivision to the Westerly boundary thereof which is bounded by
U.S. Survey No. 1678 and the final plat of the Replat of Lots
Seven (7) and Eight (8) of Block One ( ) M

division which shows the continuation of Bay View Drive thereon
and which was dedicated to the public therein having been filed
herein, and the Kodiak Island Borough
in the premises.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plat of
Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision, Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8),
Block One (1) thereof be and the same is hereby vacated and the
Replat of Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8), Block One (1) of the
Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision be and the same is hereby approved
in order to provide a continuation of Bay View Drive through the
Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision to the Westerly boundary thereof
and the Kodiak Island Borough accepts all streets, alleys, easemen
and other open spaces dedicated to public purposes as set forth
insaid Replat and that a copy of this Resolution be filed with the
Kodiak District Recorder together with the amended plat in accord-
ance with Sections 40.15.140 through 40.15.180 Alaska Statutes.
