A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CONVEYING
THE CEMETARY LOCATED IN U.S. SURVEY NO. 3511 TO THE CITY OF KODIAK
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak lacked adequate or any
cemetary space and previously had made application to the Bureau
of Land Management for a portion of U.S. Survey No. 3511 to be
used for cemetary purposes and subsequent thereto this land was
selected by the State of Alaska and thereafter selected by the
Kodiak Island Borough and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough pursuant to the
April 4th amendment to Chapter 6 of its Code of Ordinances and
Resolutions has the authority to dispose of lands not used or
needed for Borough purposes to other political subdivisions of
the State and the Borough Assembly deeming it to be in the best
interest of the Kodiak Island Borough and the City of Kodiak and
being fully advised in the premises
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Chairman
be and he is hereby authorized to execute a Deed of Conveyance to
the City of Kodiak conveying to the City that certain real property
presently owned by the Kodiak Island Borough known and described
as Lot One (1) Block One (1) of the Hospital Subdivision of portiops
of U.S. Survey 3511 and 1822 dated July 18, 1967, prepared by G. III
S. Best, Registered Land Surveyor and filed October 4, 1967 as
Plat 67 -21, said conveyance to be to the City for theme of said
land for cemetary purposes.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 16th day of May, 1968.
