RESOLUTION NUMBER 66 -'
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.320, Alaska Statutes provides that
a home -rule city shall have the same power to grant exemptions or
exclude property from Borough taxes that it has as to city taxes,
provided, that the exemptions or exclusions have been adopted-as to
city taxes and further provided that the city appropriate to the
Borough sufficient monies to equal revenues lost by the Borough
because of the exemptions or exclusions, the amount to be determined
annually by the Assembly without weighted voting, and,
WHEREAS, it appears from the statement of the KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGk{ ASSEMBLY that the assessed valuation of all personal property
lying within the CITY OF KODIAK for the tax year 1965, amounted to
SIX MILLION FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIVE and
iNo /LOOths ($6,457,405.00) DOLLARS, and the amount due to the KODIAK
' ISLAND BOROUGH in lieu of collections of personal property tax at
the rate of 6.50 mills, would be FORTY ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
PEVENTY THREE and 13 /100ths ($41,973.13) DOLLARS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
I SSEMBLY that it be and it is hereby determined that the total value
of the personal property in the City subject to taxation for the year
r_965, was SIX MILLION FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
