KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING - OCTOBER 19, 1982 (A Verbatim Record is on file in the Clerk's Office) I CALL TO ORDER Deputy Mayor Peotter called the meeting to order at 7:55 p.m. in the School District Conference Room. II ROLL CALL Present Deputy Mayor Peotter Mr. Anderson Mr. Arndt Mr. Beaty Mr. Murray A quorum was established. III ITEMS OF BUSINESS Absent Mayor Herrnsteen Mr. Wakefield Mr. White 1. Res. No. 82 -74 -R Ratifying And Confirming The Results Of The October 5, 1982 General Election. Mr. Anderson moved that the Questioned ballots of Edward Michael Corbin, Eddie C. Slaton, Dixie Lee Westhead, Bruce Schactler, Martha N. Matfay, Frank David Matfay, Jerry Dean Kahutak, Barbara L. Johnson, David J. Hilty, Velda M. Haley, Steven Farsovitch, Kenneth R. Christiansen, Bernadine L. Christiansen, David Capjohn, Sergie Vernon Alexanderoff, Sr., Neta Ann Adongo and Challenged ballots of LaVella I. Nelson, Hannah R. Mueller, Karen Loutensock, Teresa Calhoun not be counted. Seconded by Mr. Arndt. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mr. Murray moved to throw out the Challenged ballot from a voter registered within the Borough, however, his ballot was not signed, and he voted in a precinct where he was not registered and gave his residence address at a residence where he is not currently residing. Seconded by Mr. Arndt. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mr. Murray moved to count the Absentee ballot returned which was not notarized. Seconded by Mr. Arndt. Motion carried by unanimous ' roll call vote. Mr. Murray moved to count the three valid ballots on the Assembly from Old Harbor. Seconded by Mr. Beaty. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mr. Murray moved to count the ballot received from the City of Kodiak which was found during their canvas. Seconded by Mr. Beaty. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mr. Anderson moved to count the seven (7) Challenged ballots, f nr•y (40) Questioned ballots and thirty -nine (39) Absentee ballots. Seconded by Mr. Beaty. Motion carried by unanimous roll call +re. The Assembly opened and counted the valid Challenged, Questioned and Absentee ballots. Mr. Anderson moved to adopt Resolution No. 82 -74 -R Ratifying .rd Confirming The Results Of The October 5, 1982 General Election, Seconded by Mr. Beaty. Motion carried by unanimous roll call , 2. Ord. No. 82 -42 -0 Establishing The Monashka Bay Road Service Area. (1st Rdq.) Mr. Murray moved to adopt Ordinance No. 82 -42 -0 in the first r_ ing. Seconded by Mr. Anderson.
