02/11/1977:1 0 q 2 2 0 4 3 KODLAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SPECIAL MEETING, FEBRUARY 11, 1977 i CALL TO ORDER The special meeting was called to order by Presiding Officer, Betty Wallin in the Conference Room of the Borough Building at 12:05 p.m. II ROLL CALL Present Absent Wallin, Betty dr. Michael Emmick Anderson, Leslie Murl Estes Kavanaugh, Sandra Peotter, James Peterson, Frank (Late arrival) A quorum was established. III ITEMS OF BUSINESS A, List of challenged ballots (11) was submitted whose names were not on the print -out registers in the precincts in which the 11 voters voted. Mrs. Kavanaugh moved for the acceptance of the list as presented. Seconded by Mr. Anderson. Motion carried with a unanimous roll call vote. Ballots were opened and counted. B. List of 4 challenged ballots were presented of which three (3) were not on the register in the State, one (1) who was registered leas than 30 days before the election. Mrs. Kavanaugh moved to accept the challenged ballots. Seconded by Mr. Peotter. Motion failed with a unanimous roll call vote. C. List of eight (8) absentee ballots presented for counting. Mt. Anderson moved to accept the list as presented. Seconded by Mrs. Kavanaugh. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. ballots were opened and co:mted. D. Resolution #77 -10 -R was read with S. Wayne Kotula receiving 413 votes for the position of Borough Mayor; Dorothy Paulson receiving 237 votes; also write -in votes for Otto C. Mottle, Sr. (1) and None of the above (1). Mrs. Kavanaugh moved to accept Resolution #7710 -R seconded by Mr. Anderson. Motion carried with a unanimous ton call vote. E. The Oath of Office was administed to the newly elected Borough Mayor by the Clerk.
