SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 1975 I CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Thomas Terry at 12:05 p.m. in the Borough Conference Room, Kodiak, Alaska. II ROLL CALL Mr. Leslie Anderson Mrs. Sandra Kavanaugh Mrs. Betty Wallin Dr. Michael Emmick (sworn in at this time) Mr. James Peotter Mr. Frank Peterson (late arrival) Mr. Hal Lincoln III Items of Business A. Acceptance of Resignation of Mayor - noted that all members had a copy of the letter indicating that Mr. Terry would be resigning effective this date; and that he did not feel that for two more weeks in office he could justify the amount of time and effort it would take to complete the disclosure forms. Mr. Lincoln moved to accept Mr. Terry's resignation, seconded by Mrs. Wallin. Mr. Terry stated that he would be available to offer any assistance and to answer any questions should the assembly members wish to talk with him. The question was called and motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. B. Reorganization of the Borough Assembly - Mr. Terry opened nominations for Presiding Officer. Mr. Lincoln nominated Betty Walli seconded by Mr. Peotter. Mrs. Wallin nominated Mr. Leslie Anderson. Mr. Peterson moved to close the nominations, seconded by Dr. Emmick, motion passed by voice vote. A written ballot was cast, Leslie Anderson received three vote; Betty Wallin - four. Mrs. Wallin was declared the new Presiding Officer. Nominations were opened for Deputy Presiding Officer. Dr. Emmick nominated Hal Lincoln; Mrs Wallin nominated Leslie Anderson. Nominations were closed andllots were cast and Mr. Lincoln was elected four to three for Deputy Presiding Officer.
