KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SPECIAL MEETING

I CALL TO ORDER
I'T ADJOURNMENT
The Greeting was called to order by Presiding Officer Norm Sutliff at
7:55 P.M. in the Courtroom of the State Office Building, Kodiak,
Alaska.

III PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING
A. Canvass of the absentee ballots; Mr. Sims and Mr. Walker
were appointed as recorders as the ballots were tallied. The tally
was as follows:
Wilton T. White - 35 total votes 1232
Don Arndt - 14 total votes 434
Fred Brechan - 8 total votes 203
Ron Chase - 6 total votes 130
Okey Chandler - 4 total votes 176
E. Brothers - 14 total votes 520
M. Hayes - 23 total votes 741
There was one absentee ballot that did not have the proper certification
on the identification envelope. Mr. Sims moved that the ballot, not be
counted, seconded by Mr. Arndt. Question called and motion passed by
unanflitus roll call vote.
B. Resolution 71 -29 -R Ratifying the Election Results read in full
by the Borough Chairman stating that the following individuals were
elected. Mr. Wilton T. White, Borough Chairman for two-year term;
Mr. Don Arndt, Borough Assembly, one -year term; Mr. Fred Brechan,
Borough Assemblyman, three -year term; Dr. Murray Hayes, School Board
Member for three -year term. Mr. Sims moved for approval of Resolution
71 -29 -R, seconded by Mr. Arndt. Motion passed by unanimous roll call
vets.
C. Swearing -In of Newly Elected Officials. The newly elected officials
were sworn in by the Clerk- Treasurer.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
