SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 10, 1966
I CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order in the Jury Room, Donnelley Building, Kodiak,
Alaska, by Presiding Officer Russell Wright at 3!50 p.m.
II ROLL CALL
III CALL FOR UNFINISIHED BUSINESS
Unfinished business was called for, and there was none.
IV CANWSS OF ELECTION
Clerk presented Canvass of Election and read returns as follows:
!r. Lester made a motion for approval of the election as certified by the
Election Board. Seconded by Mrs. Hajdu and carried by unanimous roll call vote.
V SWEARING IN OF NEU ASSEMBLY1 EN
Clerk announced that Marian Johnson would be sworn in at the School Board
meeting to be held later in the evening.
The new Assemblymen, James Barr, Donald Arndt, and Norman Sutliff were then
sworn in by the oath administered by the Clerk, and were presented with
Certificates of Election.
VI ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.

Nominations were opened for Assembly Presiding Officer. irs. hajdu nominated Eldon
Lester. There were no further nominations. rr. Sutliff moved that the nominations be
closed and that a unanimous ballot be cast for Mr. Lester. Seconded by Mr. Barr and
carried by unanimous roll call vote.
