Also present: Chairman Powell and Borough Engineer Jim Barr. Representing State Division
of Lands, Charles York, Chief Cadastral Engineer and Dick Button, Office Engineer.
The block plan as submitted was approved in principal as evidenced by prints of
the plat signed by Chairman Powell. This is to be sold to developers by the
Division of Lands. It was also agreed that the contract for the survey could
be awarded immediately.
The commercial area within the survey USS 3469 can quite possibly be subdivided
and sold by the State to put the lots on the market more expediously. Decision was
to be delayed until survey and sales plans can be formulated.
The Alaska Division of Lands was to submit either a sample development plan to be
part of the sales contract, or statements as to what would be contained in this
contract. This contract plus the Planning and Zoning Commission Ordinance is
to insure rapid development.
The subdivider would have to present development plan at time of purchase.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
