RESOLUTION NO. 77 -52 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, ALASKA CONSE TING
TO THE LOCATION OF FACILITIES FOR AIR TRANSPORTATION TO BE
FINANCED BY THE ALASKA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND 0
BE LOCATED WITHIN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, ALASKA.
WHEREAS, Wien Air Alaska, Inc., (the "Company ") is in t
business of air transportation in the area of the Kodiak Isl
Borough, Alaska; and
WHEREAS, the installation of facilities for air transportation
is in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Company has determined to borrow funds to f'nanc
the costs of such facilities; and
WHEREAS, Federal tax laws make provision for exemption f om
Federal income tax of interest on certain revenue bonds issue
to finance the cost of such facilities; and
WHEREAS, under the Alaska Industrial Development Authori y
Act, Alaska Statutes 44.61, as amended (the "Act "), the Alask
Industrial Development Authority (the "Authority ") can procee
with issuance of such bonds to assist the Company in financin
the cost of such facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Company has requested the Borough Assembly
adopt a resolution consenting to the location of the aforesai
facilities which are situated in the Kodiak Island Borough an
which comprise the facilities (the "Project ") described in th
Company's request to the Borough Assembly; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable to adopt a resolu-
tion consenting to the location of said facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Assembly as
follows:
Section 1. That the Borough Assembly hereby consents to he
location of the Project within the Kodiak Island Borough, whic
Project is more fully described as Kodiak Island Borough (Lot
and 3, Block 1200, Kodiak Airport), combined passenger freight
building, including, without limitation, installation of impro e-
ments within said building and blacktopping of area in front
building, as such consent is contemplated by and specified in he

ATTEST:
Section 2. That the Borough Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
Authority pursuant to the Act and to provide to the Company a
certified copy of this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution is effective immediately.
