RESOLUTION NUMBER 77 -44 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGE
TO SELECT STATE OF ALASKA TENTATIVE APPROVED AND PATENTED LANES
AS PROVIDED IN AS 29.18.190 -.200.
WHEREAS, AS 29.18.190 provides for borough selection of
ten (10) percent of the vacant, unappropriated, unreserved land
located within its boundaries;
WHEREAS, AS 29.18.190 provides that it is the policy of the
State to make available to cities and boroughs the maximum land
area from which to make selections;
WHEREAS, AS 29.18.200 provides that selections be made ir
reasonably compact tracts, taking into account the situation and
potential uses of the land; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has not completed its
selection of land as provided in AS 29.18.190 -.200.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Kodiak Island Borough
reconfirms all borough land selections made to date under
AS 29.18.190 -.200 and now authorizes the following additional
land selections identified by Kodiak Island Borough selection
number and locality:
K.I.B. #28 - Kodiak & Vicinity approximately 2611 acres
K.I.B. #29 - Kalsin Bay approximately 2330 acres
K.I.B. #30 - Cape Chiniak approximately 5750 acres
K.I.B. #31 - Kizhuyak Bay approximately 2590 acres
K.I.B. #32 - Hidden Basin approximately 2940 acres
K.I.B. #33 - Eagle Harbor approximately 1735 acres
K.I.B. #34 - Shearwater Bay approximately 2500 acres
K.I.B. #35 - Shearwater Point approximately 2020 acres
K.I.B. #36 - Ugak Bay - Delta approximately 540 acres
K.I.B. #37 - Shuyak Island approximately 2490 acr s
K.I.B. #38 - Marmot Island approximately 1925 acr s
K.I.B. #39 - Sitkinak Island approximately 1655 acr s
K.I.B. #40 - Raspberry Island approximately 1920 acr s
