A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE FEBRUARY 8, 1977
RUN -OFF ELECTION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Kodiak Island Borough he
a Special Municipal Election in the Borough on Tuesday, Janua
18, 1977, at which time none of the candidates for the positi
of Borough Mayor for a ten -month term received in excess of
forty percent (40 %) of the votes cast for that office: theref
the Borouc held a run -off election for the Mayor position of
ten months on Tuesday, February 8, 1977, a Notice of the Run -
Election being published at least five days before that date,
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been deliv
to and canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly:
Section 1. The Assembly find and hereby ratifies and
declares the results of the February 8, 1977 Run -Off Election
for the position of Borough Mayor for a ten month term to be
as follows:
That S. WAYNE KOTULA received 1 7 /3 votes for the
position of Borough Mayor and that DOROTHY PAULSON received
oZ 43 7 votes for that position. Therefore it is hereby decl_red
that S. WAYNE KOTULA has been elected to the ten -month unexpired
term of Borough Mayor. The following received votes: Otto C.
Mohle, Sr. (1); None of the above (1)
Section 2. The Borough Clerk is hereby authorized an .
directed to perform any and all duties in connection with the
certification of these results and the swearing in of the
successful candidate for office.
