A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 24th, 1975
RUN -OFF ELECTION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law. the Kodiak Island Borough held a
General Municipal Election in the Borough on, Tuesday, November 4th,
1975, at which time none of the candidates for the postion of Borough
Mayor for a two -year term received in excess of forty percent (40%) of
the votes cast for that office; therefore the Borough held a run -off election
for the Mayor position of two -years on Monday, November 24, 1975, a
Notice of the Run -Off Election being published at least five days before
that date, and
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been delivered to and
canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly:
Section 1. The Assembly finds and hereby ratifies and declares
the results of the November 24th, 1975, Run -Off Election for the position
of Borough Mayor for a two -year term to be as follows:
That Ron Ball received 401
votes for the position of Borough
Mayor and that Robert Craig received 510 votes for that position.
Therefore it is hereby declared that ROBERT CRAIG has been elected to
the two -year term of Borough Mayor. The following received votes: Charles)
Powell - (6); Guy Powell - (1); Carl Armstrong - (1); Robert Brooks - (3);
Dr. Michael Cathey - (1); and Waynes Hans - (1): N. Sutliff (1); R. A. Joxes
Section 2. The Borough Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
perform any and all duties in connection with the certification of these
results and the swearing in of the successful candidates for office.
