A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
SURPLUS TO THE BOROUGH'S NEEDS AND AUTHORIZING A FIFTY -FIVE (55)
YEAR LEASE OF THE SAME
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of the
following described real property:
Tracts A, C, & E, Kadiak Subdivision
Containing 6.27 acres more or less
And from which land it is not now deriving any revenue,
WHEREAS, the Borough has received a request from Arnold
Hansen to lease said land for a period of fifty -five years (55)
for the purpose of development of a commercial sawmill and
storage facility, and accordingly has had the same appraised
and the same being valued at EIGHTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
TEN AND no /100ths DOLLARS ($18,910.00),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that the following described tracts of land situated
in the Kodiak Recording Precinct, Third Judicial District, State
of Alaska, to -wit:
Tracts A, C, & E, Kadiak Subdivision
Containing 6.27 acres more or less
Which the Borough has acquired through the land selection process
from the State of Alaska, be and the same is hereby declared
surplus to the Borough's needs, and the Assembly by motion
authorized the Borough Mayor to proceed with the necessary
paperwork for this proposed lease and public auction, the Mayor
is hereby authorized to offer the same for lease by public
auction, in accordance with Title 18 of the Borough Code of
Ordinances.
