RESOLUTION NUMBER 75 -7 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SUPPORTING
A BOAT HARBOR IN DOG BAY
WHEREAS, there is a pressing need for additional
boat harborage, and
WHEREAS, the firm of Tryck, Nyman & Hayes conducted
a study to update the development plan for a boat harbor and
surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, this proposed boat harbor has been under
consideration and review by the Corps of Engineers for
several years; numerous hearings were held to determine the .
best possible location, and
FURTHER, the need for additional boat spaces has
not diminished in the past few years, but has in fact
increased,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Assembly of
the Kodiak Island Borough go on record as being in full
support of this proposed project and resolving that the
Borough Administration will give any assistance required in
the completion of this project.
