ISLAND BOROUGH WAIVING TAXES FOR THE SECOND HALF OF TAX
YEAR 1972 FOR CECIL BROWN, A SENIOR CITIZEN
WHEREAS, Cecil Brown, is a Senior Citizen of the Kodiak Island
Borough, and as such received a Senior Citizen 's Tax Exemption in
1973 under the State's Tax Exemption Program, and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Tax Records show delinquent taxes for
the second half of 1972 in the amount of $51.50, and
WHEREAS, Cecil Brown is 76 years old and is unable to work,
and has indicated that he is unable to pay this delinquent tax, and
WHEREAS, it is not the intent of the Borough that our older
citizens should be deprived of their homes,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the taxes for the
second half of Tax Year 1972 in the amount of FIFTY -ONE DOLLARS AN
FIFTY CENTS ($51.50) be waived and that the account show a zero
balance for that Tax Year.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 1st DAY OF AUGUST, 1974.
