A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE BOROUGH'S NEEDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE BOROUGH CHAIRMAN TO SELL SAME TO KODIAK WESTERN
AIIKLINES . INC.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of U.S.
Survey No. 3468 by State of Alaska Patent No. 496 issued in 1967,
and,
WHEREAS, request was received from Kodiak Airways in 1965
for the purchase of a portion of said survey, and the Kodiak Islan
Borough Assembly by resolution dated February 10th, 1965 elected
to select said U.S. Survey No. 3468 from the State of Alaska and
sell a portion of said survey to Kodiak Airways, Inc., and,
WHEREAS, this sale was never completed,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Assembly of
the Kodiak Island Borough that the sale of two and one -half acres
(2 -1/2) within the above mentioned U.S. Survey for the sum of
TWENTY THOUSAND AND NO /100 ($20,000.00) DOLLARS to Kodiak Western
Airlines, Inc. (the successor of Kodiak Airlines, Inc.) is author-
ized, subject to the filing of a plat acceptable to the Planning
and Zoning Commission of the Kodiak Island Borough by Kodiak West-
ern Airlines, Inc., of the said property to be conveyed, and the
Borough Chairman is hereby authorized to issue a quit claim deed
to said parcel.
