1995-26 Compensating the Chairman of a Service Area Board of Supervisors.WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code 4.15.050 states: "Board members shall be
compensated as provided by resolution of the Assembly "; and
WHEREAS, On or before March 31 of each year, each service area board of
supervisors board adopts a work program, at public hearing, detailing the level of
services desired; and
WHEREAS, in the fiscal year 1996 budget, Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($2,400) was budgeted for a stipend to pay the chairman of Service District No. 1;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: A chairman of a service area board of supervisors may be paid a stipend
in accordance with an amount budgeted for fiscal year 1996.
Section 2: The stipend will be paid on a quarterly basis from service district funds.
