1994-36 Confirming the 1994 KIB and Member Municipalities Population.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 94-36 Introduced by: Mayor Selby Requested by: Mayor Selby Drafted by: Community Development Department Introduced: 11/03/94 Adopted: 11/03/94 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE 1994 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH POPULATION WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough intends to have certified the most accurate population count for the Kodiak Island Borough and its member municipalities; and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough conducted a random telephone survey during the fall of 1994 to establish updated average population per household figures; and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has estimated the 1994 Kodiak Island Borough and member municipalities populations based on the 1991 State certified housing unit totals, the 1994 population per household, specific area counts, local utility records, and a housing unit update using the "household unit method "; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH THAT: Section 1: The 1994 population estimates for the Kodiak Island Borough and its member municipalities are: Akhiok City 86 Chiniak Census Designated Place (CDP) 143 Karluk CDP 65 Kodiak City 7,428 Larsen Bay City 153 Old Harbor City 311 Ouzinkie City 221 Port Lions City 264 Women's Bay CDP 737 Kodiak station (USCG base) Census Subarea 2,Ubb Monashka Bay - North of City 3,821 Remaining Remote Areas 229 TOTAL KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH 15,524 Kodiak Wand Borough, Alaska Resolution No. 93 Papa 1 of ATTEST: Donna F.
