A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CERTIFYING THE RESULTS
OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD OCTOBER 4, 1994
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Regular Election on October 4, 1994,
at which time candidates for the following offices to be filled were voted
on:
Borough Assembly - Two (2) three -year terms
School Board - Two (2) three -year terms'
Bayview Road Service Area - Two (2) three -year terms
Monashka Bay Road Service Area - Two (2) three -year terms
Service District No. 1 - Two (2) three -year terms
Womens Bay Service Area - Two (2) three -year terms
Fire District No. 1 - Two (2) three -year terms
WHEREAS, the Canvassing Board of the Kodiak Island Borough met on October 12,
1994, and tallied the votes of Questioned Ballots and Absentee Ballots
together with votes counted on election night; and
WHEREAS, the Recount Board of the Kodiak Island Borough met on October 18,
1994, and recounted all the votes cast in Precinct #39 Flats for the
Womens Bay Service District Board write -in candidates Wayne Berry and
Linda Hinson; and
WHEREAS, the tallies as recorded by the Canvass Board and Recount Board are as
follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: The Assembly finds that the Municipal Election of October 4, 1994,
was validly held and hereby ratifys and certifies the results of the
election.
Section 2: In the Borough -wide election for Assembly, Mike Milligan and Gary
Stevens were elected to three -year terms, having received the highest
vote tallies.
Section 3: In the Borough -wide election for School Board, Jean Barber and Norm
Wooten were elected to three -year terms, having received the highest
vote tallies.
Section 4: In the Bayview Road Service Area, Reed Oswalt and Fred (Sky) Roberts
were elected to three -year terms, having received the highest vote
tallies.
Section 5: In the Monashka Bay Road Service Area, Roger Blackett was elected to
a three -year term, having received the highest vote tally. Whereas,
those candidates receiving the highest vote tallies have declined the
seat, a drawing by lot of those candidates with less than two votes and
willing to accept the seat will occur.
Section 6: In Service District No. 1, Roy Aguirre and James (Jim) Fisk, Jr. were
elected to three -year terms, having received the highest vote tallies.
Section 7: In the Womens Bay Service Area, Linda Hinson and George Lee were
elected to three -year terms, having received the highest vote tallies.
