EXECUTING A MINI -GRANT REQUEST FROM
THE RURAL COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

the Kodiak Island Borough supports local economic development
opportunities using local natural resources; and
the Kodiak Island Borough received a request for an Organic Plant Food
Project to establish a network of local growers creating part -time
continuous jobs, producing and exporting local products, and providing
a diversified income for participating families and nonprofit organizations;
and
WHEREAS, Marian Stirrup is an applicant for a mini -grant in the amount of $25,000
from the Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP); and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough provides management of grants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: The mayor of the Kodiak Island Borough is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute any and all documents required for granting and
managing funds on behalf of this project.
Section 2: The mayor of the Kodiak Island Borough is also authorized to execute
subsequent amendments to said grant agreement to provide for
adjustments to the project within the scope of services or tasks, based
upon the needs of the project.
