A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF 143 SQUARE FEET
OF BOROUGH PROPERTY ON A PORTION OF LOT 1A, U.S. SURVEY 3465
(VICINITY OF ISLAND LAKE)
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission has
reviewed and granted preliminary approval to the subdivision of Lot 3A
Block 1 Shahafka Acres Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the design of this subdivision provides for a flag stem that meets
borough regulations resulting from the disposal of 143 square feet of
borough property; and
WHEREAS, the design of the subdivision provides for the completion of the
dedication of the Scout Circle right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the value of the two parcels is similar, and the effect of the disposal and
the offsetting acquisition will provide benefits to the borough as the
owner of the Scout Circle right -of -way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1.
The borough mayor is authorized to dispose of a 143 square foot portion
of Lot 1A U.S. Survey 3465 in exchange for the acquisition of a 37
square foot parcel of Lot 3A Block 1 Shahafka Acres Subdivision,
Section 2. The borough mayor is authorized to sign all necessary documents to
complete this land disposal and acquisition.
