A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF UTILITY EASEMENTS
ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR WATER AND SEWER UTILITY CONSTRUCTION
(U.S. NAVY COLD WEATHER TRAINING CENTER AT SPRUCE CAPE)
WHEREAS, the construction of the U. S. Navy Seals Cold Weather Training Facility
requires the extension of public water and sewer utilities to this site;
WHEREAS, KIBC 18.10.030 allows the acquisition of real property or interest in real
property by Assembly resolution; and
WHEREAS, KIBC 18.10.030 allows the Assembly to acquire interest in real property
for specific purposes and projects without the review of the Planning and
Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
the Assembly authorizes the acquisition of a utility easement for the construction of
water and sewer utility serving the proposed U. S. Navy Cold Weather Training
Facility at Spruce Cape.
