1992-04 Supporting the Kodiak State Parks Citizens' Advisory Board FY 93 State Budget Request.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 92 -04 Introduced by: Mayor Selby Requested by: Kodiak State Parks Drafted by: Community Development Department Introduced: 03/05/92 Amended: 03/05/92 Adopted: 03/05/92 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE KODIAK STATE PARKS CITIZENS' ADVISORY BOARD FY93 STATE BUDGET REQUEST WHEREAS, Kodiak district state parks provide outdoor recreational opportunities for citizens of the Kodiak Island Borough; and WHEREAS, state parks in the Kodiak district protect natural resources for the enjoyment, education, study, and use by the public; and WHEREAS, World War II history unique to Kodiak and Alaska is preserved in Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park; and WHEREAS, camping and picnic facilities are available in Kodiak district state parks for tourists and other visitors to Kodiak; and WHEREAS, state parks contribute income to the economy of the Kodiak Island Borough; and WHEREAS, state park facilities in the Kodiak district are in need of repair and improvements; and WHEREAS, state funding of $200,000 is requested by the Kodiak State Parks Citizens' Advisory Board to accomplish needed repairs and improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH THAT: i the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly funding _f 3 20 0A the ..v„wn ..,.�a.....,.,rOU � r\aJGI l lulY supports state I lJl lull lg V I 17 cV V, V V V in the FY93 state budget for repairs and improvements to Kodiak District State Parks.
