RESOLUTION NO. 91-43
AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION DISPOSING OF ANY BOROUGH
INTEREST IN ROCKY ISLET TO THE CITY OF
KODIAK FOR PERMANENT BREAKWATER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, a permanent breakwater at St. Hermans Harbor is an important project
supported by both the City and Borough governments; and
WHEREAS, the Borough by Quitclaim Deed in 1984 transferred its interest in Gull,
Uski and Round Island to the City of Kodiak; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak is required to have site control to all upland within the
project boundary; and
WHEREAS, The ownership of an interest in Rocky Islet is in question; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent to deed all interest to Borough real property in and
around St. Hermans Harbor to the City of Kodiak;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH:
Section I. The Kodiak Island Borough, by emergency resolution, deeds any interest
to Rocky Islet to the City of Kodiak for public purposes;
Section 2. That formal action on the disposal by the Planning & Zoning Commission
and the Assembly will take place in sixty (60) days as required by KIBC
18.20.030 (A) & (B).
