1991-32 Declaring that the Existing Form of Representation and Apportionment Meets the Standards of A.S. 29.23.021.Introduced by: Jack McFarland Requested by: KIB Assembly Drafted by: Borough Clerk Introduced: 07/18/91 Adopted: 07/18/91 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 91-32 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE EXISTING FORM OF REPRESENTATION AND APPORTIONMENT MEETS THE STANDARDS OF A.S. 29.20.060 WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough, in accordance with AS 29.20.080, which requires that no later than two months after the official report of a federal decennial census, it shall declare by resolution whether the existing apportionment of the assembly meets the standards of AS 29.20.060; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH: Section 1. That the existing apportionment of the Assembly does meet the standards of AS 29.20.060, in that its members are elected "at -large". Section 2. That the following proposition shall be submitted to the voters of the Kodiak Island Borough at the Regular Election of October 1, 1991: "Shall the Kodiak Island Borough continue with its present apportionment of the Assembly, in that it consists of seven (7) members? All seven (7) members are elected at -large." PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 18th DAY OF JULY, 1991.
