RESOLUTION NO. 91-31
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE MONASHKA BAY WATER AND
WASTEWATER FACILITIES PLAN
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough received a State grant to develop a water and
wastewater facilities plan for the Monashka Bay area outside of Service
District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, HDR Engineering, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska, properly prepared and
completed the Monashka Bay Water and Wastewater Facilities Plan dated
April 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Monashka Bay Water and Wastewater Committee was formed to
oversee and guide development of the Water and Wastewater Plan and
held 3 public hearings throughout the planning process; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held February 12, 1991, reviewing the draft Monashka
Bay Water and Wastewater Facilities Plan and a majority of the public
comments favored development of a public sewer and water system in the
area; and
WHEREAS, the Monashka Bay Water and Wastewater Committee recommended that
the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly adopt the Monashka Bay Water and
Wastewater plan for development of the public sewer and water system in
the proposed Service District No. 2;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH:
Section 1. The Monashka Bay Water and Wastewater Facilities Plan dated April 1991,
prepared by HDR Engineering, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska, is adopted.
Section 2. The Monashka Bay Water and Wastewater Facility Plan be utilized for
development of the public sewer and water system in the proposed Service
District No. 2 area.
